Every weekend, I have to do a long run. The training plan I am roughly following has an increasing distance every weekend up to a maximum of 20 miles. I have managed to run the 20 miles at the start of this month which I found amazing as I was still capable of talking and standing at the end. As a reward, I did not have to do a long run this weekend!
The plan requires me to do this again and then there is a taper off during April so you do not get tired before the race. March is the month for the heavy mileage.
